A selection of leading international companies and the Scottish Government chose Dundas Castle as the venue for their events in 2008.
 
When Event Design, a cultural event company in the Netherlands, was looking for a venue which could provide a variety of facilities within a luxurious environment for a 4 day event, Dundas Castle was an obvious choice.
 
Event Design organise a highly successful 4-day event for a Multi-National company

The executive team of a leading blue chip company came together from all over the world to use Dundas as the base for a series of meetings and activities.  We worked with Event Design, a top event management organisation in Holland to provide an extensive programme in and around Edinburgh.

Dundas Castle was delighted to host the group for 4 days. While the delegates attended successful meetings in the Boardroom, their partners sampled the best that Scotland's capital city had to offer, through an extensive spouse programme. 

The itinerary included a Scottish Fashion Show in the Drawing Room, a historic tour of the city centre, golf, an outdoor activity day on a traditional farm travelling there by 4x4 vehicles and a trip to sites in the surrounding area. The four day event culminated in a Scottish themed evening to be remembered.

Dressed in Scottish attire, the group was ready to begin their evening of entertainment. Whilst enjoying a champagne drinks reception a surprise guest appeared.  'Robert the Bruce' told stories as he guided the guests through Scottish history using the many areas of Dundas.  They were led across to the 15th Century 'Auld Keep', (which had been kept a surprise throughout the stay), where they experienced various Scottish delights in each room.  The Address to the Haggis was performed in the Armoury, an appropriate place, and with scottish dancing being enjoyed in the Great Hall, the guests were then ready to return to the main house where they found the Croquet Room, transformed into a medieval banquet room. The night was brought to a conclusion with a dramatic Clan Battle.

On leaving the castle we were delighted to be told by several of the guests that this had, by far, been the best year yet.  Considering this event is held annually, in a different international city each year, we were extremely proud to have been the hosts.
